Challenges are what make Life Interesting, overcoming them is what makes Life Meaningful!-Deciphering life at 3EA

Reflecting back to my first day at 3EA, it was one of the most memorable days of my time at work. After being introduced to everyone, I was handed an organization restructuring assignment to work on. The Human Resource domain experts of my organization had asked me for recommendations to improve certain aspects of the project wherever I see fit, as well as my opinions on the project in its entirety. They were very open and happy for me to contribute as much as I wanted to, and were open to any suggestions and ideas owing to my pre- MBA expertise in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics. This instantly made me imbibe a sense of belongingness for the organization as I wasn’t restricted to a specific role and was allowed to experiment and re-invent.

During my work experience as an Assistant Manager- Business Advisory at 3EA, I was fortunate enough to have experienced many different facets of what goes into a human resource consulting project. This includes the general process of how a corporate human resource strategy is initially planned, developed and completed; as well as how much work and detail goes into every stage. One valuable lesson I have learned during these 10 months are the many different types of work a HR Consultant has to perform, which in turn, has provided me with more insight into the different types of roles and responsibilities that I could perform. This tenure has also enhanced my managerial capabilities which I got to demonstrate at a very early stage of my career.

During the first month of work completing the project, I was overwhelmed by the work and the responsibilities that were placed on me, but with the help of my managers, who have had years of experience in the industry, I felt more confident and supported. I knew my efforts in any assignment would be recognized and any uncertainties will be explained. By observing and learning from them, I managed to pick up tips and learned different types of skills, from learning to communicate and deal with different clients, to reading and deciphering many different types of human resource strategic plans.

I was also happy that I had the opportunity to use all of my theoretical knowledge and apply it to real-life situations. Through experience and observation, another valuable lesson that I learned while working at 3EA was that in human resource assignments, especially when working in primary stages of certain project, things can change very quickly and dramatically. Another lesson I learned through this was that if there are any uncertainties, from whether a policy was legally compliant or not, to if human resource selected for a certain aspect of a project was unsuitable, it always has to be checked numerous times and from senior level resources before any conclusions can be made, especially if they are to be presented to a client.

I found that the workplace itself was relatively diverse. Every team has a different expertise and they work together to organize the work in sync with one another. This helps the Advisory team, of which I am a part, to complete their work efficiently and present it to the client on time. This in turn, manages to help the workplace become better as a team and therefore creates a good atmosphere in the working environment. Overall, my work experience at 3EA is extremely positive. I am very happy with the diverse subjects that I have learned and experienced in the first ten months of being an Assistant Manager- Business Advisory, with the company.
